Speak to your doctor about scheduling follow-up appointments, visiting any specialists that you may need, and keeping on track with regular checkups. See all of your doctors regularly
Primary care physicians are your main point of contact in the medical world, but they’re not going to direct you to every last medical and dental professional that you should see. You’re going to have to take some responsibility to get the care you need.
Visit the eye doctor regularly, and, if you need corrective lenses or any other kind of eye-specific treatment or care, visit at least once every year or two. As with your primary care physician, your eye doctor can help you make a schedule that ensures you’re visiting often enough.
Visit the dentist, too, and consider other health experts you might want to talk to. These may include nutritionists, chiropractors, and mental health professionals. Keep track of all of the different doctors you should see.
Pay attention to what you eat
Your doctor can help you detect and defend against illnesses, but nobody can give you the nutrition you need— it’s up to you to do that. Make sure that you’re careful about what you put in your body. In order to get the nutrients you need, focus on eating whole foods. Whole foods are unprocessed, and include items such as meats and vegetables. Get exercise regularly — but don’t overwork your body!
